MetaPrint - Overview

MetaPrint software is used for high-end, production printing and file conversion of large-format architectural, engineering or construction (A/E/C) documents. 

Originally developed for the high-end reprographics shop environment, MetaPrint software is now used by thousands of users around the world, ranging from reprographics shops to architectural, engineering & construction industry professionals.

Four versions of the software are available.  

A MetaPrint Professional version, designed for high-volume, production environments like a reprographics print room or print shop.  This version allows users to print documents, perform complex file or job setup, apply stamps, adjust pen sets, manage print queues and receive remote jobs.

A MetaPrint Workstation version allows a single user access to all the sophisticated file preparation and printing tools, but for a single printer without the advanced MetaPrint queue management.

A MetaPrint Convert version allows non-print users the benefit of sophisticated preparation & setup tools when converting files to a new format. This is a very popular version of the software which allows companies to deal with the disparate file types often received from partners, consultants, etc. The software is also beneficial when preparing documents for printing or posting to a document management system.

Finally, the freely distributable MetaPrint Client version allows users to send jobs to local MetaPrint queues or remote MetaPrint destinations; like a print shop.
